August Teetaert was born Jun 9, 1864. He was the 7^th child of Karel Joseph Teetaert & Anna Willem. He married Octavie Claeys on Jul 13, 1888 in Ruddervoorde, Belgium.

They had 10 children, Mathilde Maria, Oscar, Alois, Margaret, Adronie, Henri August, Desire Rene, Remi Andreas, Judith & Maria. Each of these lines will be followed separately.

Octavie passed away on Feb 2, 1940. August left Belgium and went to Canada with his grandson Oscar Willaert. They arrived in Deloraine in Feb 1949 to visit with his 6 remaining children in Deloraine, Manitoba.

After visiting with his children for 2 months, August made his home with his youngest son Remi on his farm near Medora.

August lived to be 89 years old and passed away on Dec 15, 1953 in Deloraine.
