The Shiels Family Guestbook Returns
A familiar feature from the earlier Shiels Family History website has returned with the addition of a new Guestbook page.
Over the years, visitors to Shiels.ca have left comments, shared family connections and sometimes provided information that helped expand or correct our family history. Fortunately, many of those messages have been preserved. The new Guestbook brings together comments dating back to 2001, allowing some of those connections and memories to remain part of the website.
Visitors can submit new comments using the contact form on the Shiels.ca homepage. Rather than publishing submissions automatically, new Guestbook entries will be reviewed and added manually. This will help keep the page free of spam while ensuring that genuine family connections, comments and useful information can be shared with other visitors.
Some of the most rewarding parts of more than forty years of Shiels family research have come from unexpected contacts with people who discovered the family history and recognized a name, photograph or story. We hope the restored Guestbook will help those connections continue.
