Introducing What’s New
Today we added a new feature to Shiels.ca — the What’s New section.
Family history is never really finished. New information is discovered, photographs are found, stories are corrected or expanded, and new connections are made with relatives around the world. As Shiels.ca continues to grow, we wanted a simple way to record those changes.
What’s New will provide a continuing record of significant additions and improvements to the website. The first entries look back at the rebuilding of Shiels.ca during August and September 2026, from the move to a new web host through the creation of the new website, expansion of the family branches and improvements that made the site easier to find.
From this point forward, new entries will be added whenever something significant changes — whether it is a newly discovered family story, an old photograph, a correction to our research or another addition to the website.
In that way, What’s New will become more than a list of website changes. It will be an ongoing record of a family history that continues to grow.
